Kyle Traynor

Kyle Traynor started his career in what many would consider the most demanding edit room in Hollywood, working with David Fincher on HOUSE OF CARDS (Netflix), the series that rewrote the rules of prestige television, MINDHUNTER (Netflix) and GONE GIRL (Warner?). It is the kind of apprenticeship that shapes an editor for life, and it shows. Kyle went on to cut THE WHITE LOTUS (HBO) and multiple seasons of INDUSTRY (HBO), where he served as both editor and associate producer, a dual role that speaks to the level of creative trust directors place in him. His other narrative credits span WILLOW (Disney+), STREET FOOD (Netflix), UTOPIA (Amazon), and IN FROM THE COLD (Netflix). What distinguishes Kyle beyond the credits is his approach. He talks about editing as a guiding dialogue with the audience. He lets the emotion drive the cut and trusts the audience to meet that emotion with an investment in the storytelling. That same sensibility runs through his commercial work, with brands including Nike, Porsche, and Harley-Davidson. Bonus points, he'll tell you himself, if it's weird.
