Eyeballs Rethinks Creative Industry PR with Joined-Up Press and Social Approach

The Visibility Company brings strategy, modern press and social together to help creative companies build recognition consistently rather than relying on isolated announcements.

Eyeballs has introduced a joined-up approach to PR and social for the creative advertising industry, designed to help companies turn sporadic announcements into sustained visibility.

Rather than treating a press release, social post or project launch as a standalone moment, the new service connects strategy, press and ongoing content around a single Visibility Plan, giving each story more opportunities to be seen and reinforcing what a company wants to be known for over time.

At the heart of the approach is a simple principle: one good story should create more than one visibility moment.

James Straker, Co-Founder of Eyeballs, said:

“Traditional PR can be incredibly short-lived. A release goes out, gets picked up, and everyone moves on. We believe the real value comes from joining those moments together, with press feeding social, social keeping the work and talent visible, and everything reinforcing what the company wants to be known for. That’s when visibility starts to compound.”

A more modern approach to PR

Eyeballs has developed a web-based release format designed around the way journalists actually work.

Instead of sending a combination of PDFs, Word documents, third-party video links, image folders and separate credit sheets, each story brings the film, stills, downloadable assets, copy-ready text and structured credits together in one place.

The aim is simple: remove friction for publications while giving the work itself a better setting.

Eyeballs identifies stories worth telling, develops the angle around the client’s positioning, writes the release and pitches it directly to relevant journalists, drawing on established relationships across the creative advertising press.

“If we want journalists to cover great work, we should make their job easier. The film, story, stills, credits and downloadable assets should all be in one place, ready to use. It’s a simple change, but it makes the experience better for everyone.”

Turning one story into many

A press moment is treated as part of a wider story rather than a standalone announcement.

Eyeballs develops ongoing social content from the work, people and activity already inside a client’s business, turning individual projects into a wider set of opportunities: launch posts, behind-the-scenes stories, talent features, project details, perspectives and follow-up content.

The social output is planned, written and custom-designed within each client’s own brand world, allowing the same underlying story to work across different channels rather than simply repeating the original announcement.

Mike Harmer, Co-Founder of Eyeballs, said:

“A lot of companies have more to say than they realise. The issue is finding the time and consistency to turn what is already happening into content that feels considered and on-brand. We want press and social to feel connected, but not repetitive.”

Building recognition over time

Behind both press and social sits the client’s Visibility Plan.

Eyeballs works with each company to define the core ideas and associations it wants the industry to connect with its business. Those priorities then guide the stories pursued, the angles developed and the content created over time.

The result is less reliance on occasional bursts of promotion and a greater focus on consistently reinforcing the company’s work, people, point of view and positioning.

Straker said:

“The companies people remember are usually the ones they see regularly. That does not mean shouting louder. It means being clear about what you want to be known for, then showing up consistently with work, stories and ideas that reinforce it.”

The Visibility Company

The launch follows the introduction of a new Eyeballs website and a clearer positioning for the business as The Visibility Company for creative advertising.

Alongside strategy, press and social, Eyeballs designs and builds websites and purpose-built technology for creative companies — connecting the different ways they present their work, publish their stories and stay discoverable.
